BRIA is not an urgent care service. Since we only offer virtual services, we do not offer care to those with an acute mental illness who are better seen in a hospital or in-person setting.
This includes:
People in crisis
People who have been admitted to a psychiatric hospital within the past 3 months
People who are suicidal or who have been treated for suicidality in the past 3 months
People in a manic episode or who have been manic in the past 3 months
People who have active psychotic symptoms or an untreated psychotic illness
People with active substance use concerns, or who have had active concerns over the past 3 months
If you are in crisis, please go to the nearest emergency department, call 911, or call or text 988, the Suicide Crisis Helpline.

There are many commonalities among people who are trying to conceive, pregnant, postpartum, and perimenopausal and menopausal. At each one of these stages, a combination of hormonal changes, relationship and role changes, identity changes, and psychological changes all take place at one time. This is a lot of stress for a person to cope with all at once, and the BRIA team of professionals is experienced in helping people navigate these complex times. Often people need a combination of therapy, other professional support such as sleep or nutrition help, hormonal assessments, and possibly medication to address mental health issues. BRIA offers comprehensive treatments in one place to help those who are struggling during these life stages.
