As a healthcare provider, understanding the unique mental health and physical challenges women face during perimenopause and menopause is crucial for delivering effective, compassionate care. That’s why we are excited to offer the Menopause Mental Health Provider Certification (MMHPC) training in May. This comprehensive course is designed to provide healthcare providers with the knowledge and tools they need to better support women at these pivotal stages.
What You’ll Learn
The MMHPC course will deepen your understanding of the bio-psycho-social changes women experience in mid-life and how these changes can affect their mental health. Whether you’re a social worker, psychologist, nurse, physician, psychotherapist, occupational therapist, or another healthcare provider, this training will equip you to address the physical and mental health needs of women transitioning through perimenopause and menopause.
Throughout the course, you’ll gain expertise in:
-
Physical and mental health changes during perimenopause and menopause
-
Strategies for addressing sleep and nutrition issues
-
Behavioral activation techniques to help women navigate the menopause transition
-
Sexual health considerations during menopause
In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions, ask questions to BRIA experts, and review case studies. This collaborative approach ensures that you not only absorb the information but also gain practical insights that can be applied in your own practice.
