The BRIA team is excited to share some news with our community! The Government of Canada recently passed Bill C-59 which is a legislation that removes the GST/HST on counselling therapy and psychotherapy services in provinces where these services are regulated.
This bill marks a milestone for mental health care in Canada by reducing the financial barriers that make it challenging for people to access affordable mental health services. We are excited that this bill will allow more people to get support and are grateful to the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) for spearheading this important initiative.
What could this mean for you? If you are a resident of Ontario and seek psychotherapy services from a Registered Psychotherapist, you now qualify for tax-exempt services!
